BIG news from Inside Scoop SF:  Permit requests are in for Jack Knowles of the historic New Orleans-based Preservation Hall to open a venue in the Mission.  The “old” New College location is the intended site.  Ben Jaffe, the creative director for the project was quoted with regards to the Mission location in San Francisco:

  “The only place where something like Preservation Hall could naturally exist is in a community like San Francisco. Like New Orleans, San Francisco is a crossroads, a place where artists can congregate, commune together and create.”

And a NOLA styled restaurant is in the plans too!  Comfort food and jazz!
